Not all states in Australia accept the innovations which help to struggle against gambling addiction. Victorian state government rejected the solution of New South Wales administration to implement warning pop-ups on gambling devices.
This reform is only one among many other important intentions, thus it still remains in theory. Gambling addiction problem is not life-and-dead to the Victorian government members, so they won’t consider the innovation now. Anti-gambling activists protest against do-nothingism of the authorities, but they can’t influence the situation. Maybe it will change soon.
