One more arrest for playing poker has been made. Now two Texas Hold'em poker players were brought to justice by the police in Alabama.
Recently two men were arrested for hosting illegal poker playing. There were 100 players, but they were not even charged since playing in the tournament wasn't regarded as a crime. Since one of the men named Leslie Davidson had no affiliation with a restaurant where all was going on, he was arrested and charged.
While searching his house the police discovered drugs, a revolver with no numbers. This brought both Leslie and his girlfriend right to the jail. His ‘colleague’ Paul Dutsch was arrested at his apartment too. All of them were booked on charges of gambling and money laundering.
This case unfortunately casts a slur on the other players. These were the organizers who gave others chance to earn the place to the WSOP. Hopefully they are exceptions not a rule. This story benefited to bars - they increased sales and quantity of visitors. But the poker is better to gain popularity by other means.
