Sometimes the police choose rather original methods to reveal illegal gambling. Recently they confiscated 26 video poker machines, cash up to $160,000 and arrested three people due to the three video poker machines, which were returned to their owners. It was as follows.
Per curiam three gambling devices were to be returned to their owners, but the police decided to trace the employees and discovered the suspicious warehouse which contained 26 poker machines, documents and cash. They organized a round-up, confiscated all on the plea that these devices were illegal and arrested three employees of the company which owns the machines. The attorneys of the arrested said that the machines were out of gear and couldn’t be used at all, so everything was legal. Investigation and time will show who was right.
