Poker is not only a card game. It is also the universal attractive thing for the reporters – once you use the word ‘poker’ in your speech, your story becomes cool. Even if there was nothing related to poker at all. Recently a kidnapping occurred in California – which was said to deal with poker, but it appeared that it had nothing in common with the game.
A police supervisor fabricated a tale that looked rather realistic – two friends kidnapped a man to play a poker game. But it turned out that the kidnapped man didn’t know the captors and really hated poker. He was taken at gunpoint to the car and was forced to drive away – they just wanted to escape. Fortunately, his wife immediately called the police, who managed to stop the car several minutes after. The truth came out just now – and the reputation of the pastor was recovered.
Still, the joke seems to be good. One thing – prepare your inmates before you realize it.
