Kevin Cantwell couldn’t even think about future problems when he won $630,000 in New England Poker Classic. Immediately his former wife claimed her rights on $54,000 – it appeared that paterfamilias didn’t pay anything to his children since 1998.
Deborah Hays, the ex-wife, filed a motion in Worcester County Probate and Family Court, and now she is sure in the right decision of the court. She thought that he would almost immediately pay her the debt from the poker winning. He didn’t meet her expectations. The amount of $60,000, which sums the debt, is to be passed to this court, and will be held in an interest-bearing account until the judge makes the final decision.
