American justice doesn’t snooze. One more game of Texas Holdem was seized recently in Greensboro, North Carolina.
State Alcohol Law Enforcement Agents prevented further poker playing in Ham's restaurants. They say that the game was illegal because it offered prizes - even though it weren't money - and was a game of chance. Since the game was cancelled, no one was charged.
Ham's had nothing to do but to agree to stop handling poker tournaments and breaking the law. So, no poker will be available in restaurants any more.
