A new poker channel appeared on the horizon of the star channels. The guys who worked for BSkyB have launched a new UK digital satellite channel which will be devoted to the poker programming.
The channel named Poker Channel started on March, 23th. Its main goal is to show basics and details on programming in poker. It won't compete with other channels for the rights to broadcast the poker tournaments - only programming. It will air first between 2:00PM to 1:00AM, but then is regarded to reach its audience 24 hours a day.
Poker Channel isn't going to mark time. It is going to get additional revenue from mobile phones industry by implementing a set of different competitions, polls, games and chat. Also, it will develop the sphere of live programming - the next step in poker. We can only wish them high ratings and income - good luck!
