The Internet poker bill story in North Dakota came to the end. Not a bright end for all poker fans.
Senate debated the bill that was to make North Dakota the first state to license Internet poker. Unfortunately, the senators didn't want it to pass, so the bill was voted down with 44 votes against 3 for the approval. The bill has been considered for a month and ended its way in a trashcan for the moment.
Nevertheless, not all is lost for gambling players in other states. A constitution amendment was approved in South Dakota, and it is allowed to make telephone and electronic mail wages on horse or dog races, as long as interstate betting can be done using bank accounts. In Illinois and Georgia the bills about Internet lottery ticket sales are being considered. Nevada and US Virgin Islands allow operating of Internet casinos.
It's a pity that all ended in such a way. Gambling was marked as a matter of low priority. Maybe the situation will change in future.
