The stories about the arrests of illegal gamblers and confiscation of the poker machines are really drainless. More and more illegal gamblers are caught with the drugs. The cases occur at least every week, so the police doesn’t have much time to rest. Recently two more people were arrested in Randleman, North Carolina for operating illegal poker machines.
Confiscated gambling equipment was estimated at approximately $145,000. Additionally to poker machines and gambling devices a small quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia was found. Jonah Edgar Wright, 78, and Wanda Sheffield Wright, 42, were charged for illegal gambling warehousing, absence of license to obtain and use poker machines, illegal slot machine and drug possession.
Unfortunately, it is no a rare case when the drugs are going together with poker. It can't be a good tendency. If one takes into consideration this fact, maybe the fight of the police against players is useful..
