An incredible story happened recently in a small town Brevard, Western Carolina. A strange man with wide-open eyes and definitely crazed look rushed in the police station door and begged to arrest him for the murder. On detailed consideration an excited story revealed.
4 men drank a couple of beers and decided to play poker. One of them (the narrator himself) synchronized the idea of playing at the midnight at an old cemetery near the town. He owed a big sum of money and was going to rise his finances by this game. To be sure in the victory he took a poisoned deck and a pair of gloves – very thin which weren’t visible in a trustless moonlight - with him. They chose a place on a grave and played for about 30 minutes. He thought he will loose – bad luck in every hand.. But the poison was working good… he-he-he… He wanted to win and break the bank, but – damn! – nothing came. During the last hand he was so close to the royal flush –almost all was lost... last card to be dealt... and the poison made its vile goal – all were lying near dead – and last card to deal. He felt sorry for the players being corpses now and looked on the card – maybe the murder was vain. And – what the … - it was the last card to complete his Royal!!! Oh no! He lost all his excitement and became almost mad – he killed innocent people – and all this for catching fortune! He felt terrible conscience torments and decided to come and make a full admission.
The police took him under arrest, and now he’s waiting for the decision about himself in the local jail. Relatives of the dead men are angry and want to kill him in the same way. Let’s wait for the commission findings about his mental state.
