The latest update of Oxford Dictionary, one of the oldest and the most respected dictionaries of the English language, recognized the popular Texas Hold’em game and added the phrase to the list of phrases and words in the New Oxford American Dictionary Second Addition.
Poker game variation now stands in trail with “Reality TV”, “Megapixel”, “Antiterrorism”, “Bluetooth” and other 2,000 words. The additions appeal to reflect the changes in modern language and modern life and are regarded useful for dictionary users who keep the track of events. Now we are looking forward to adding other poker terms.
