The survey was conducted by MECN firm among more than 100 industry experts.
Results show that online poker is the game that encourages gambling rates to grow and reinvent. Now it spread all over the world in different spheres of life.
It seems that online poker will be the prevailing game in online casinos. More than 60% experts that took part in survey claimed that it would be so in the near 2-3 years. The amount of money that will be betted and won or lost is estimated to be above $60 billion, and commission revenues will be above $3 billion.
Also, TV shows involving poker become more and more popular. Main examples are World Series of Poker on ESPN, the European Poker Tour on Eurosport and Celebrity Poker on Bravo.
Suggesting financial and business community, online poker starts to play important role. Poker website Paradise Poker was recently sold to Sportingbet, and IPO site is estimated by hearsay 4-8 billion dollars. That shows that one should closely look to the market.
Along with this it should be noted that the online poker market is growing and constringing. Competition will grow and income per player will decrease. Recommendations are to create poker networks, implementing more betting brands and incorporation of poker sites.
Last thing to observe is that Europe is a platform for future development. It has great potential and is for sure going to advance and expand.
