New South Wales Government refuted the report about permission to set Keno machines in hotels to increase the amount of collected gambling taxes. Premier said that they had no plans about this.
Now Keno playing is allowed only in clubs and casinos in New South Wales. Of course, expanding will attract more money to the budget holes, but the price for this will be the growth of gambler addicts’ number and related problems. Additionally, this step will contradict the recently implemented addicts’ treatment program. So now hotels must temporarily forget about this way of acquiring additional income. Time will show how the situation develops.
