It is common knowledge that celebs are getting more and more drawn to poker. No wonder, it requires special talent and skill and who are the celebs if not talented people?
Matt Born is no exception, still he manages to put his family first. You gotta be a really loving father and husband, to get the courage and refuse a £1 000 prize for the sake of your wife and children. On August 1, Matt Born was able to do that, to reject the prize of the Media Tournament that could then let him enter the Palm Beach CelebPoker Classic Tournament. That promised a huge sum of £100 000. Instead, Mark chose to stay at home to be with his wife and kids who happened to arrive right when the tournament was due to start.
The tournament organizer had to determine the new winners. These turned out to be 2 runners up, Anthony Holden, the critic of the Observer, and Phil Shaw, editor of the PokerEuropa magazine.
