One more accident with poker players, penalties and the police took place in Ocean Pines, Worchester County.
Twelve of fifteen people were charged for illegal poker play. This story attracts attention by its circumstances. Game was handled in an old seldom used shop. The participants glued up windows, moved furniture and prepared tables for playing.
But they made two great mistakes that shouldn't be repeated by others. First - they chose for play an old, abandoned shop, which wasn't visited for years, so that any activity inside attracted attention of nearby shop employees. They were noticed by an accountant even before the game started. The second mistake was that they took in a policeman under cover so that they were seized and surrounded without any problems and haste.
All participants weren't arrested but they have to appear in court. Seems like Ocean Pines inhabitants can continue gambling behind closed doors of private houses, but will be brought to justice in case they open casinos.
