It seems that owners of illegal gambling devices and houses never read news summary. If they did, they would never place gaming devices at social clubs where all visitors would be able to see it, play and acquire cash. The logical consequence would be charges or arrests – but no, they never draw lessons from other people’s experience. Recently Derry social club in New Hampshire and its managers were pleaded guilty in illegal gambling activity and now have to pay fines for this.
The occasion for the interaction with the police and sentence itself were video gambling machines, which were standing at the club. They paid cash to the gamblers. Several undercover detectives revealed the truth about devices, and this led to charges.
The morale is evident – if you want to get money from gamblers illegally, don’t do it in public places, frankly and with free access – only behind curtains or at least in imperceptible places with limited access.
