Gambling can turn the usual man, devoted son and true family man into a rascal who will go any length to obtain money for the game. Such was indeed the case, which occurred recently in Scotland. A man murdered his father to conceal gambling debts.
26-year-old man received life sentence for the murder. He killed his father because poor old man was overcurious and discovered the fact of mortgaging the family house to pay off gambling debts. Son choked off his parent and hid the body in the boot of the car. The body has been there for almost 5 months and was only found in March.
The “beloved offspring” was unemployed and tried to make living by playing the stock exchange and by spread betting on the internet. The fortune turned its back to him and he had been losing money. Last thing he managed to do was to forge the signature of parents and mortgaging the house. It led him to the jail for the rest of his ne'er-do-well life.
