Gambling is a source of income for many people – as well as a source of losses. It can bring you fame or fling you into a vortex of poverty and oblivion. For Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino gambling became the industry that has been investing his campaign.
First he patronized slots in Beacon Hill. Then he received about $2,000 from horse track owners as a support for his promo campaign. Last donation from gambling executives was $1,000. Though it was dismissed on the plea of that it was just a few of thousands from people in a variety of industries. Time will show whether it will be any other donation from gambling or not.
