Gambling is not an innocent fashionable hobby or an exciting time-killer. It can turn out to be a real addiction. It can destroy the whole life - when a gambler replaces the life with the gambling, when he works for money to play, spends all free time in the house and talks only about his last win. It can turn from a social outlet into the life destroyer. One of the Central Victoria's residents named Bill experienced all the abovepersonally .
He began gambling and soon it turned a little hobby into a drug - he lost all his money and made a lot of debts, lost his job, brawled with his spouse - and all these because of gambling. He found that he could not get acquainted with new people; he had almost lost all his close friends. Not a bright picture, eh? The final thing which made him think about his life was his dismissal. He was so close to the edge, and he managed to return. He hasn't been playing for more than 9 months, but he considers that the gambling poison - in his case it's a real poison! - is still in his veins. Though the cure is close, he has much to do - recover relations with his wife and friends, learn to communicate and forget about gambling. We can only wish him strong will.
