It is well-known that online poker epidemy is spreading all over the world ignoring borders and nations. Arkansas shared same fate, though US legislation is rather severe in gambling question.
The Arkansas United Poker League, founded last September, is acting illegal. They handled several no-money poker tournaments in bars. This was desisted by the Little Rock police. They warn to arrest not only bar owners but players either, and that led to cancellation of all games in Central Arkansas.
This is only one drop in the sea of multiple small skirmishes between authorities and players in the US. Poker is shown on the TV, it is played in private players behind the curtains, in the Internet casinos - either for money or not. United Poker League tries to insist that no-money game is not gambling and seems that they succeed in their prompting. Similar discussions are held in other states.
