Poker Machines History
First mention about poker machines dates back to 1890s in Brooklyn newspapers. They observed its popularity and diffusion everywhere.
First poker machines were manufactured by Pitt and Sittman and immediately drove citizens crazy so that these "poker card machines" appeared in every shop. The reward was in drinks and cigars - depending on the type of the shop.
Idea of modern poker machines originates from Charles Fey's slot machine with three reels. It was developed to 5-reels automat with possibility to stop certain reels and spin others to get better card combinations. This brought Fey fame and welfare. Modern-like poker machines appeared in the mid 1960s. Within ten years they spread everywhere and appeared in Las Vegas.
Though the technology advances further and further, improving graphics, sounds and buttons, main principle remains same - play with fortune, train your skills, improve techniques.
