In general, support is something, which has to support you. I mean that if you have any problems or don’t understand something in the rules of a poker site just ask support.
Usually they provide you e-mails and sometimes even the phone numbers. It is said that support should work 24/7 and answer all the questions more or less immediately. The best way to check the quality of an online poker room support is to write them e-mail with the most dumb question you can ever invent. For example email them something like
“Dear Support!
Though I play poker for only 1,5 days, I already consider myself to be a good poker player. However, I don’t understand one thing: what is a buy-in. Would you, please, explain it to me?”
If the support is good, they will answer your question in an hour or so. The answer should be complete and polite. If it is so – congratulations – you can rely on the poker site. If you get a letter sent by a robot or don’t receive anything at all, be careful – nobody will help you in case of emergency.
